We are excited to announce our investment in Struggly. Struggly is a K–8 digital math supplement that helps students build number sense, confidence, and a love of math. When students engage in playful, purposeful struggle, they develop deeper understanding, greater resilience, and lasting success in math.
In an educational era that has too often been dominated by rote memorization and teaching to the tests, Struggly is focused ensuring that students have the deep enduring skills and confidence needed to not only be successful in math but also in life.
Struggly was co-founded by Jo Boaler, Alina Schlaier, and Tanya LaMar. Jo Boaler is a highly respected educator and professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Dr. Boaler is also the co-founder youcubed, a Stanford research center with mathematics education resources for teachers, students and parents, and the author of 18 mathematics education books.
We are excited about the excellent progress this team has made so far and welcome the opportunity to be part of their journey.
